The Barrie Ball Hockey Club will be looking to get its very first “girls only” leagues going this spring! These new leagues will be for girls ages 8-10, 11-13 and 14-16 years old! They are being started by Mike Browning who joined the club this year to focus on developing new unique divisions.
Womens ball hockey in Barrie has become an extremely popular sport with over 50 teams competing at the Barrie club alone this Spring! This is in addition to the over 50 co-ed teams that are playing. The club has a large number of girls playing through their co-ed youth divisions, but there has been a growing number of individuals looking to play in a “girls only” environment. One of these girls, Marissa B set an all time point record for women at the club last year scoring 50 points in the 12 game regular season games! She completed this accomplishment in a co-ed division outscoring most of her teammates & opposition!
The all girls leagues are going to get started the week of April 7th after the Barrie Sharks season has ended. It is being offered at an introductory price of $125 (tax in.). For those who wish to get involved, or to get more information, please e-mail Mike Browning at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will be free scrimmage games offered later in March for girls who wish to try out this new division! These dates will be posted soon.
