Phil Kessel among Leafs’ players present as Thornhill street turned to ball-hockey rink
A Thornhill resident and his neighbours were treated to a special day Saturday, after winning a Facebook contest turning their residential street into an outdoor ball-hockey rink.
The rink was complete with a Maple Leafs logo painted on the pavement, and of course some current and former Maple Leaf players were involved.
Hundreds of people showed up to see the rink and catch a glimpse of Wendel Clark, Phil Kessel and Rick Vaive, among others.
