League Convener (GTA)

Ballhockey.com has a number of immediate opportunities for people to join our organization in a number of locations in the Toronto area as league organizers.  This opportunity will appeal to sport management graduates looking for an opportunity to get into the sports business or mature individuals that have always wanted to be involved in the organizing and operation of sports leagues.

Specific opportunities in Bradford, Scarborough, Brampton and Vaughan are immediately available.  Depending on your skills and interests, Youth, Men’s, Women’s and Co-ed positions are available.  Get involved in organizing and operating your own leagues at our facilities or offering to start a new league in a market we currently do not service.

We are looking for individual’s that can assist us in our efforts to “grow the game”.

Skill Expectations for Applicants:  Experience will play a major role in the hiring decision, so an applicant with sports organizing experience will have an advantage.  Positive interpersonal skills, a professional approach and a high energy level will be important in dealing with potential league and team organizers.  Solid knowledge in the use of computer and other communication systems is expected with any applicant.

Hours of Work: Will be dependent on the individual.  This is a part time role.

Timing: Available immediately & expected to be filled by February 2017.

Compensation: Compensation will be tied to activity and dependent on the levels of participation.

Tournament Convener (x2)

Ballhockey.com is looking to add one or two experienced sport event professionals to assist in the regular operation of weekend tournaments.  We are developing new events that are Regionally, Provincially, Nationally and Internationally based and require assistance in the operation of a number of events.  Ballhockey.com is an operator of a growing group of multi-sport facilities with an internationally recognized brand and this position will appeal to a knowledgeable, self confident individual who wishes to have an opportunity to advance and develop within our organization. 

This job will be a new part time position within the organization and the ideal candidate will have had some successful experience in a similar role. Knowledge of the game, its rules and experience operating events will be key experience of any applicant.

This individual will be required to be onsite and in charge of running events.

Director of Tournaments

Ballhockey.com is looking to add an experienced sports event professional to develop our tournament products Regionally, Provincially, Nationally and Internationally.  We are an operator of a growing group of multi-sport facilities with an Internationally recognized brand and this position will appeal to a talented, aggressive, self confident individual who wishes to have an opportunity to advance and develop within our organization.  This is an entrepreneurial position and compensation will be driven by the success of this expansion.

This job will be a new position within the organization and the ideal candidate will have had some successful experience in a similar role. Developing & executing the business strategy through strong communication\marketing strategies that develop the activity will be the major responsibility for this individual.

Hours of Work: The position will be a full time position with hour’s spread throughout the year. Nights & weekend time will be expected as the objective of this position is to develop the ongoing tournament revenue of the brand.

Timing: The Position is available immediately & expected to be filled by April 2017.

Social Media Intern, ballhockey.com (Barrie / Niagara) 👻

The Barrie Ball Hockey Club is looking for a social media intern beginning in 2017. Ideally you love tweeting, snapchatting, hash tagging and following back. Working closely with the ballhockey.com team you'll report directly to the Director of Marketing & Sponsorship to help execute promotions and campaigns. You'll help populate our Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat & Website.

This is not a paid position. We do offer interns the following;

  1. Free ball hockey! (one free season, every season, as long as you are still interning!)
  2. Technology! Your own company iPad + use of drones, gopros, dslr, video cameras... you name it! We just want you to let your creativity fly!
  3. Swag - we'll hook you up with new gloves, a stick and other swag for when you play and when you're creating content. 
  4. The opportunity to have a direct impact on the social media strategy and execution. You won't be fetching coffees or sitting bored with us!
