BALL HOCKEY INTERNATIONAL & BALLHOCKEY.COM ANNOUNCE NEW WORKING RELATIONSHIP

St Catharines, ON – (February 28, 2018) – Ballhockey.com (BH.com) and Ball Hockey International (BHi), are pleased to announce a new working relationship that will unite all four of their facilities in Niagara and create new opportunities for working together on events and other partnerships that will Grow Our Game.  Effective March 1, these two entities will combine their resources to provide their customers with easy access to a mix of indoor and outdoor multi-sport facilities in St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, and Welland.

For many years, Ballhockey.com and BHi have competed in the market to service the many youth and adult ball hockey players in the Niagara region.  Over that time, the popularity of ball hockey, and the quality of its athletes has earned Niagara a reputation as a hotbed for the sport.  With this new working relationship, the two companies can work together to continue to elevate the sport of ball hockey, while continuing to provide a positive outlet for recreational sport across the Province of Ontario.

Sport and recreation has an incredible impact on the community through binding families and friends, supporting education, as well as contributing to the economy and environment.  Ballhockey.com President & CEO, Brian Broley said, “This is a great opportunity for both parties to grow the sport, and provide our customers with a great outlet to participate in athletics.  Together, we have a great mix of indoor and outdoor multi-sport facilities throughout Niagara, offering a variety of sport opportunities to our community.  Our team is excited to bring together our collective strengths to expand regionally in Niagara”.

“We’re excited by the potential of bringing together all of these Niagara facilities under one leadership,” said Chad Asselstine, General Manager of Ball Hockey International.  “This new relationship will allow us to utilize our strengths to provide the best sporting experiences for our collective membership, and expand into other programming and events.”

These sentiments are echoed by BHi Manager of Business Development, Bryan McGahey, “This partnership is a great opportunity for our players, coaches, parents, volunteers, and corporate partners to be exposed to multi-sport options at a variety of facilities throughout Ontario.”

Sara Krug, Ballhockey.com’s Regional Manager added “We see this as a great opportunity to bring a new focus to customer needs and deliver great programming to the youth, women and men in the Niagara Region.  Our team in excited to welcome the regional BHi Management team and to begin planning for an expansion of activity at all of our clubs”.

At this time, the new relationship will not have any impact on the upcoming Spring season or 2018 events.  Players, coaches, and parents are asked to direct any of their questions to their home rinks.
