FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

BALLHOCKEY.COM & THE ORILLIA BALL HOCKEY LEAGUE ANNOUNCE NEW WORKING RELATIONSHIP

Orillia, ON – (March 1, 2018) – Ballhockey.com (BH.com) and The Orillia Ball Hockey (OBHL), are pleased to announce a new working relationship that will bring the Orillia Ball Hockey League under the Ballhockey.com banner pending approval from the City of Orillia.

For many years, Ballhockey.com and The OBHL have worked closely in the Simcoe County market to serve the many youth and adult ball hockey players that play our game.  Over that time, the popularity of ball hockey, and the quality of its athletes has earned Simcoe County a reputation as a hotbed for the sport.  With this new working relationship, the two companies can work together to continue to elevate the sport of ball hockey, while continuing to provide a positive outlet for recreational sport across the Province of Ontario.

Sport and recreation has an incredible impact on the community through binding families and friends, supporting education, as well as contributing to the economy and environment.  Ballhockey.com President & CEO, Brian Broley said, “We are excited to work with Dan, Joy, Jason and the team of officials to bring a quality experience to those playing the game in Orillia.  They have always had a great passion for the sport and we are thrilled that Dan & Joy will trust us with their baby.  Dan and Joy have been an integral part of growing the game in Orillia and they are great people to partner with”.

“We’re excited by the potential of joining the Ballhockey.com family and expanding the game in Orillia.  The Orilllia club has been a lot of fun since we opened in 2004. Joy and I are thrilled to be involved as players” said Dan Sawatsky of The OBHL. “This new relationship will allow us to utilize our strengths to provide the best sporting experiences for our collective membership, and expand into other programming and events.”

Mike Thompson, Ballhockey.com’s Regional Manager added “We see this as a great opportunity to bring a new focus to customer needs and deliver great programming to the youth, women and men in Simcoe County.  Our team is excited to welcome the Orillia team into our group and to begin planning for an expansion of activity at both of our clubs”.

At this time, the new relationship will not have any impact on the upcoming Spring season or 2018 events.  Players, coaches, and parents are asked to direct any of their questions to their home rinks.
