5th Annual Niagara Nitro Tournament |

St. Catharines, ON – This past weekend the 5th Annual Niagara Nitro tournament took place at the Niagara Ball Hockey Club. 3 days of intense hockey action left one champion crowned late Sunday afternoon. Teams came from as far as Timmins and London to play in the C/D tournament. The tournament also marked the grand opening of the second ball hockey rink at the host club. The Niagara Ball Hockey Club & the Niagara Nitro would like to congratulate St. Catharines own Flying Aces on taking home the championship, and winning the coveted tournament jackets. St. Catharines, ON – Change was in the air as ball hockey enthusiasts from St. Catharines came out to celebrate the Niagara Ball Hockey Club at it’s official launch party. The event was held at the Black Sea Hall the past Friday and was headlined by local band Slider performing "That 70's Rock Show". The event introduced the new club manager Michael Broley, showed off future site plans and gave players a chance to meet the new owners of the club. |

2nd Annual Ball Hockey Challenge |

Hamilton, ON - On June 1st, 2008, the Hamilton South Ball Hockey Club will be home to the 2nd Annual Ball Hockey Challenge. The challenge, organized by Kristie Boadwin and Brent McCullough, is an effort to raise money in support of the Kidney Foundation of Canada - Hamilton and District Chapters. This is the first year the HSBHC has hosted the event and they are excited to work with the tournament to provide greater exposure in the area. |
