The St. Catharines Beastie Beauts walked away with gold at the OBHA Women's Provincial Championships in Brampton last weekend. The event featured 8 women's teams from across Ontario competing over 3 days.
The Beastie Beauts went though the tournament undefeated with their sole tie coming against the Midland Battalion in their 1st game. From there they were dominate winning 7-0 over the Cornwall Ray Jans and 5-1 over Trenton Hooligans. The semi-finals saw them take on the Burlington Brownies and win 5-0.
The finals saw the St. Catharines Beastie Beauts face off against the Oshawa Stampede. It was the scoring prowess of the Beastie Beauts that proved too much for the Stampede; they took the win and the championship 4-1.
